The Oil Museum “El Mudo Oil-press” is installed in the village of San Felices, in the old barn which was the mill in the eighteenth century. In it we can follow, through simple murals, the history of the olive and its oil. It also presents related objects provided with the oil and its uses, among them jars of oil, a grind of 1868, real candles used in the early time by the olive-pressers, wicker baskets and even a trap, old Islamic stones and Punic lamps and other objects of historical value related to the precious juice of the olive. The exhibition runs every step to convert the olive into oil through different rooms, from the courtyard, where the olive was deposited in the "lagaretas" through its pressing and extraction in the mill (superbly restored) until conservation in the jars. The museum, which has already received the visit of more than thirty thousand people, explains efficiently and pleasantly how the olive oil was elaborated in the former times. "El Lagar del mudo” owns the prestigious “Europa Nostra” Medal 2002 awarded in Brussels for the excellent restoration and conservation of heritage, shared that same year with the Cathedral of Vitoria. Subsequently, in 2004, Croatia produced another prominent award to give to the Museum. "El Lagar del mudo" is a founding partner of Olearum (National Association of Culture and Heritage Oil), under which has participated in numerous events and conferences. Also in the urban area of the village, we enjoy a visit to another interesting museum: the Museum of Stonework. The attractive museum displays on three floors the granite path through space and time, from its origin inside the earth to its destination in any of the buildings. The ground floor focuses on the identity of granite, its formation millions of years ago, its different types and existing quarries around where from are extracted, creating an approach to this Geological Heritage through various architectural granite objects elaborated by well established quarries in the beginning of the 20 century. This first unit is headed by a reproduction of a boar of granite, from the time of The Vacceos (200 BC) and the different types of granite that were used for all types of buildings: Cribs, Roman basins, capitals, lintels or pastoral huts are some examples shown in the museum. The second floor shows the tools and the work developed by the quarries over the last century in San Felices de los Gallegos, who erected the most beautiful village with its artistic craft. The top floor houses a documentary about the buildings that you see around town, finally a 10 minute short film will make you meet the most varied works around San Felices.

The village of San Felices de Los Gallegos is an authentic Thematic Stone Museum. Since we can observe, in addition to its architectural works, numerous traces of their different eras portrayed in granite, a natural mineral in the area. The highlights are one of the main entrances to the village, next to the Chapel of “El Cordero”, the most representative of the town: There we find the ”Verraco” (Boar), called ”El Burro de San Antón” (San Anton Donkey) which may originate from the Vettones, a remarkable seniority, since it might belong to a pre-Roman fort dated in VI century BC. The next gem is ”Las Tres Cruces” (The Three Crosses), with its stylized figures carved in stone belonging to the fifteenth or sixteenth century, is marked by its eminently religious tradition, representing an ancient part of the rural society of milestones that marked the processions and prayers, or the stations of the Via Crucis which, in certain localities are still defining the path of "penitents". And finally, we find ”El Calvario” (The Calvary), a piece of great value and unique in the Shire of Abadengo. At the other end of town, near the castle and its tower, after a short walk, we will find Rodavila Bridge, a small ancient Roman bridge originated of granite ashlar, two eyes and arches separated by a triangular breakwater. Along the bridge are a fountain and a trough, both granitic and the whole in a very relaxing natural environment. Exiting the village through the road by the “Puerta del Puerto”, former gateway to the walls, we find two interesting fountains, possibly of Roman origin, first ”La Fuente del Puerto” (The Fountain of the Port), and a little more on your left the ”Fuente Oscura” (Obscure Fountain). Stil numerous ”Caños” (Pipes) carved in granite and dating from different historical epochs, can be observed around the village.
